On November 27, 2025, the kick-off transnational meeting of the Math4U Supports Teachers and Students project, supported by the European Union's Erasmus+ program, took place in Ostrava at the VSB-Technical University of Ostrava. This project follows the successful projects Math Exercises for You 1, 2, and 3, implemented between 2016 and 2025. The results of these projects are the current version of the math4u.vsb.cz portal with all its applications and parts.
The new Math4U Supports Teachers and Students project, which will run from September 1, 2025, to August 31, 2028, aims to develop the math4u.vsb.cz portal further, in particular, by expanding the TrainingGames4U, AppliedMath4U, and Math4Teacher applications. Another important goal is to prepare teacher guides to help teachers use the portal.
The opening transnational meeting of the Math4U Supports Teachers and Students project was attended by staff from the Department of Applied Mathematics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at VSB-Technical University of Ostrava, who are coordinating the project, as well as staff from partner organizations involved in the project, specifically colleagues from the University of Granada, Grammar School Hladnov, Grammar School Ostrava-Hrabůvka, and Grammar School of Viliam Pauliny-Tóth.
